Fresh Start Metro

Welcome to Fresh Start Metro; shared housing for re-integration into the workforce and community.

Located across the Perth metropolitan area, Fresh Start Metro can be a part of your recovery plan. Fresh Start Metro incorporates transitional housing that clients may apply for while they continue to work towards a safe and successful recovery. This shared accommodation is available for patients who are actively looking for work, engaged in employment, completing studies or volunteering on a regular basis. For more information, see the Resident Agreement.

Residents staying at Fresh Start Metro housing will have an appointed house leader or visiting staff member to ensure that everyone is safe and stable. House leaders report back to the Fresh Start Lodge Manager to ensure that all clients within the housing are still in active recovery. If relapse occurs, residents are able to return to the Fresh Start Lodge for accommodation where they can receive more intensive support and help to return to recovery.

Fresh Start Metro provides shared living accommodation during the transitional period to support a full return to recovery and independent living. Accommodation can be provided to suitable residents for periods between one month and up to a year to whilst they seek their own stable accommodation, complete their studies or can return home to family.

Fresh Start Metro provides accommodation for female patients from Fresh Start Clinic who are in need of longer-term stable accommodation. Separate accommodation is available to men who have completed the 26 week program at Fresh Start Northam.

To apply for Fresh Start Metro accommodation, patients must discuss this request with their doctor, nurse, case coordinator or the Fresh Start Clinic or Lodge manager.

There is an application process and interview to discuss the conditions of the Lodger’s Agreement. This document outlines what is expected of residents once they have been accepted into the Fresh Start Metro housing program.
